Rook piercings are located on the upper 'shelf' of the ear, and are anatomy dependent. These piercings are typically performed with curved barbells and need to be longer initially, to accommodate swelling. These can be switched to rings & seam rings without decoration once fully healed (10-12+ months) Unless you are a dedicated back sleeper, we suggest on only getting cartilage piercings on one ear at a time. Healing typically takes between 6-12+ months, and can vary from person to person. ❤ No submerging the piercings in bodies of water for at least 3 months after the piercing. ❤ Please do not sleep on your piercing for at least half the healing time to lessen the risk of migration & irritation (using a travel pillow while sleeping can help lessen this risk!) ❤ Checkups are recommended around 6-8 weeks to ensure the healing process is going well ❤ Checkups on piercings performed by our studio are always free! ❤ Sometimes, downsizing the extra room on the curved barbell is helpful to lessen movement, around 6-8 weeks. The cost of this varies depending on the piece chosen, but starts at around $20 per curved barbell shaft. ❤ There is no service fee for downsizing the length, with the purchase of jewelry. - See your aftercare brochure for a discount on your first downsize! We use only APP Verified implant grade titanium, niobium, and/or solid 14k gold jewelry that comes with a lifetime warranty on manufacturing. (Loss is not covered) PLEASE NOTE: The listed service price does NOT include jewelry. Basic titanium jewelry for this piercing starts at $50 per piece & goes up from there.
